Hello Camera Sages,
I've recently acquired a Mitchell 16mm camera that I used before and I love it!!! ~ My question is: does anyone know if Mitchell 16mm cameras ever have been used with a battery? I thought this was a Mitchell with a battery in the attached photo (of Jonas Mekas). Can anyone tell me if I've got anything wrong or if I can use a battery with a Mitchell? I have the power cable that attaches to electricity but not any way to attach to a battery.

I have to assume that Mitchell had a battery. They had an ac/dc motor for their 35mm cameras and their 16mm were used for news. I have not seen a Mitchell made battery but any should work. The photo you show looks like it’s an Auricon 16mm camera.
