Feel free to discuss any topic related to the Mitchell Camera. Both 35 mm and 16 mm models are welcomed here. Also consider posting topics of other major motion picture cameras that you feel are important to the development of the Mitchell Camera.

Update: You may have noticed that we have returned to just one category as opposed to dividing the forum into 7 different areas. Apparently, it was an unpopular change and returning to the old format will allow posters to find their submissions more easily.

As can be seen from my photograph, 1950s newsreels used a mixture of Wall, 2709s and Spyder Eyemo cameras plus W.E. 618 mics. The crews look very neat and tidy with additional trilby hats. The whole ensemble courtesy of myself and the NETFLIX costume dept. This was all for a Netflix production called THE CROWN (streaming Nov 2016). Although I collect and preserve movie and tv equipment, I just love it when I trundle along to the set and display my precious toys. Oh, and the 2709 is a wooden repro, same guy who made all my model cameras. A whizz!
