Details on American Cinematographer Covers

Some covers of American Cinematographer magazines. I added the "ON THE COVER" description from the index page to give information as to who the players are in the cover picture, what the production is. They always list the Director of Photography.

Followthefocus1, Randy and Justin, Thank You for the kind words! I'm glad you appreciate the DuPont ads. Followthe focus1, are you a working Assistant Cameraman? Re: Does this forum welcome Newalls as a real Mitchell?

Hello 35mmKing! I have a question for you. Do you own that 1000ft Newall magazine that's in the photos you posted? Are you aware that the magazine has an adaptor on it enabling it to be used on an Arri camera? If you have anymore info on the mag, I'd be interested. Your photos have answered a little...

Re: Mitchell Camera Magazine Ads

Justin,

Thank you for your compliments!
I seem to be having trouble posting to the site at this time. I just lost a post addressing your thoughts. However, I wanted to tell you, I do agree with your feelings about the importance of ads, and couldn't have said it any better! Thank you again!

Re: Mitchell Camera Magazine Ads

Walter, Lolly, SW, Gabby and Admin, Thank You for your kind words! I found 5 of the Dupont ads in the style of the 2 posted here. The 2 posted were the best of the 5, in my opinion. Walter, I have to agree with you on the Southcott ad, it's my personal favorite ad also. Heck, with a smiling James Ar...

Re: Mitchell Camera Magazine Ads

Another DuPont Film ad from 1/1960. A nice shot of the BNC, but it goes on to say that the BNC in the picture is BNC serial # 2 that was then 25 years old.

Re: The Mitchell Sound Recorder - never heard of it

Hello oldprodp and MitchellCamera.com members! I have seen that ad in an old American Cinematographer magazine (early 1930s), however I can't recall which one. I did a search and found this post written in a site for Digital cameras on 10/2011 (go figure)......... "BTW, we have Mitchell Sound Record...
