Saving the West Hollywood Mitchell Camera Factory from demo

Please help us save the old West Hollywood Mitchell Camera factory!

This is Krisy and Kate from Dead History Project - http://www.deadhistoryproject.com

We live in West Hollywood, CA, a few blocks from the old Mitchell Camera factory on 652 N La Peer. There is a proposal, in the very early stages, that calls for the demolition of the factory. The factory is an iconic building here in WH. Mitchell built it in 1929 and occupied the building until 1946 (when Mitchell moved to Glendale, CA). Then the factory housed several businesses before it was turned into a restaurant, bar and cabaret in the 1950s. It has been a disco/nightclub ever since. It's affectionately known here as The Factory.

We have a facebook page for people to get info and updates in our effort to save The Factory:
https://www.facebook.com/savethefactory ... ood?ref=hl

In order to save The Factory, we need facts and information about Mitchell and the cameras made during 1929 and 1946. We've done quite a lot of research (and we've read everything here at mitchellcamera.com!) but we're looking for brochures, specific camera info, people who worked or visited the WH factory, articles, stories, etc that relate to Mitchell's time in their West Hollywood factory. We know this is a bit of a vague shout-out for info but anything and everything will help - and we'll have more specific questions later on. (We'll share our info too when we're done.) You can also reach us directly through our Dead History Project website.

Thanks!! Can't wait to hear back from you all!
